Drift & Convergence is all about exploring the flow of ideas, systems, leadership, and making sense of complexity. During a strategic leadership course in my MBA at Royal Roads University, I wrote a personal leadership vision and a strategic leadership development plan. My vision is ambitious — the result of deep reflection on my values, my career in healthcare technology, and the impact I aspire to create:

To tackle complex and wicked problems with courage, and inspire the same in others through endless curiosity, patience, and compassion.

My strategic leadership plan includes a goal to develop my system leadership abilities by creating eight monthly infographics about system leadership and related tools that I can reference and share. To keep myself accountable, I plan to post them here and on LinkedIn.

Here is my schedule and list of topics (subject to change):

  1. System leadership
  2. Cynefin framework
  3. Appreciative inquiry
  4. Theory U
  5. Sensemaking and scenario planning
  6. Leverage points analysis vs systems mapping
  7. Collective impact framework
  8. LEADS framework
  9. Reflection on my personal strategic leadership development plan
